Alone..

From childhood's hour I have not been
As others were; I have not seen
As others saw; I could not bring
My passions from a common spring.
From the same source I have not taken
My sorrow; I could not awaken
My heart to joy at the same tone;
And all I loved, I loved alone.
Then- in my childhood, in the dawn
Of a most stormy life- was drawn
From every depth of good and ill
The mystery which binds me still:
From the torrent, or the fountain,
From the red cliff of the mountain,
From the sun that me around rolled
In its autumn tint of gold,
From the lightning in the sky
As it passed me flying by,
From the thunder and the storm,
And the cloud that took the form
(When the rest of Heaven was blue)
Of a demon in my view.

Hey ya'll its karlie:)

Al Aaraaf

Sup guys it's Darian here. Sorry it's been so long since I've posted anything but I've had a lot going on these past 3 weeks, but I'm here now :) So this is a long poem/story by Edgar Allan Poe that I've just added a link to under the text so I don't have to type the whole thing out. This poem is about the love between 2 fallen angels. It is one of my absolute FAVORITES and I hope that you'll enjoy the message of finding love in any situation no matter the circumstances as much as I did :) Read on, poetry lovers. ;)

A Dream By:Edgar Allen Poe

In visions of the dark night
I have dreamed of joy departed-
But a waking dream of life and light
Hath left me broken-hearted.

Ah! what is not a dream by day
To him whose eyes are cast
On things around him with a ray
Turned back upon the past?

That holy dream- that holy dream,While all the world were chiding,
Hath cheered me as a lovely beam
A lonely spirit guiding.

What though that light, thro' storm and night,
So trembled from afar-
What could there be more purely bright
In Truth's day-star?

Haii everyone this is Karlie:)

The Bells. Poet of the Month Edgar Allen Poe

Hear the sledges with the bells-
                   Silver bells!
What a world of merriment their melody foretells!
How they tinkle, tinkle, tinkle,  In the icy air of night!
          While the stars that oversprinkle
          All the heavens, seem to twinkle  With a crystalline delight;
                Keeping time, time, time,
In a sort of Runic rhyme,
To the tintinnabulation that so musically wells
From the bells, bells, bells, bells,
                   Bells, bells, bells
-
From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells.

this is karlie:
so this poem is in the sprirt of christmas.MERRY CHRISTMAS YA'LL:):)
